Aston Villa have today announced an agreement to complete the signing of Diego Carlos from Seville for an undisclosed fee.
Carlos will travel to England later this week to finalise personal details and complete his medical.
Many media outlets in England are reporting the deal is worth around £26million.
The defender will become Aston Villa’s second signing since the Premier League finished following the arrival of Boubacar Kamara earlier this week.
Diego Carlos plays for the Brazil national side and has been a virtual ever-present in Sevilla’s side over the last three campaigns. The defender has played 136 matches, including the 2020 Europa League final where Sevilla beat Inter Milan.
