Michael Carrick once again quashed talked surrounding Morgan Rogers and a potential transfer to Aston Villa this month after the forward scored a special goal at Chelsea. Aston Villa are keen to sign the 21-year-old from Boro, just six months after they brought him to the Riverside from Manchester City. The Premier League side have already seen two bids rejected by Boro who are keen to hang onto the player and will only sell if their valuation is met, with Man City's sell-on fee percentage a factor. There is increasing belief that now that Boro's Carabao Cup journey is over, Aston Villa will step up their interest in the forward with a little over a week remaining of the January transfer window.
