Aston Villa linked once again with Joshua King

Bournemouth striker Joshua King has fallen into Aston Villa’s sphere of interest, once again, according to reports. The English side were said to be interested in signing the Norwegian forward back in September but it looks like the interest has been revived.

King was set to leave Bournemouth after relegation from the Premier League, but he still plays in the Championship. Reports suggest that Villa will look to take advantage of the opportunity and are preparing a bid in the region of £16 million for the Norweigian forward.

King’s current contract with Bournemouth runs until June 2021.

Last season, the 28-year-old played 27 games in a Cherries shirt, scoring six goals and four assists.

King will add more diversity to Aston Villa

Currently, Aston Villa are doing pretty well in the Premier League. I am sure we can all remember Villa beating Liverpool 7-2; which surprised the footballing world. Even though Ollie Watkins has established himself perfectly in the squad and Jack Grealish is also excellent, having a top-class forward is always a good option for a team like Aston Villa.

Norwegian Joshua King became a prominent name in Bournemouth. He was a key figure alongside Callum Wilson and if anyone scored goals for the team it was either of these two.

King is also a pivotal figure in the Norwegian national team, which has a generation of talented youngsters. With Haaland, Berge, Odegaard, and Hauge, King is also a central figure.

The Norwegian gambling industry has often used a strategy of promoting their players via casino channels and this is not a novelty. King’s case is not any different as the Norwegian player has been in the spotlight of Norwegian casino online operators that have popularized Bournemouth’s player.

Joshua King’s career

King was born and raised in Romsås, a suburb of Oslo in 1992 and is the son of Gambian and Norwegian parents.

Joshua started his career at the local Romsås Idrettslag at the age of six. In 2006, at the age of fourteen, he signed with Vålerenga, where he spent two seasons before being spotted by Manchester United scout Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – another very popular Norwegian player, who is currently coaching Manchester United.

Joshua King signed for United in January 2008, when he was 16 and made his debut for the youth team on 29 March 2008, when United was defeated 1-5 by Sunderland. He also scored four goals in four games when United won the EFL Cup. Joshua played two games at the start of the 2008/09 Academic Premier League season before an injury that left him until January 2009.

Two games after his return, King scored a brace against Bolton on 31 January 2009. A few weeks later, King made his debut for the Reserves in the Premier League, coming on as a substitute.

At the beginning of the 2009/10 season, Joshua King came on as a substitute for Tosic in the Lancashire Grand Cup final, when United beat Bolton 1-0. On September 23, 2009, King came on as a substitute in the third round of the Football League Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 81st minute in a jersey with the number 41.

On August 7, 2010, King moved to Preston North End on loan for three months, becoming the 1,000th player ever to play for the club. Joshua made his debut for the club the following day, coming on as a substitute in the first minute of the match when Preston lost 2-0 to Doncaster Rovers.

Joshua scored his only goal in the first round of the Football League Cup against Stockport County, setting up the final score at 5-0.

In August 2011, it was announced that King would spend the next season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.

On 16 January 2012, the forward moved to Hull City on loan until the end of the 2011/12 season.

On 22 November 2012, King joined Blackburn Rovers on loan until 31 December. Under the terms of the lease, Rovers were granted the right to buy out the player’s contract. On January 2, 2013, it was announced that King had signed a full contract with the Wanderers.

In 2015 the Norwegian player signed a contract with Bournemouth and still plays with this team, however it is anticipated that he will leave the club soon.
