Aston Villa made many headlines during the previous summer transfer window when they sold their club captain Jack Grealish to fellow Premier League side Manchester City in a record-breaking deal worth £100m. This wasn’t the first time the two clubs have done transfer business over the past few years, with the Manchester club buying the likes of Gareth Barry, James Milner, Darius Vassell and Stuart Taylor from the Villans.
